Pacesetter Basketball was founded in 2005 by John Waring, widely considered one of the top women's basketball teachers and trainers in the midwest. 

His unique "Progression System" of teaching is designed specifically for the elite women's player and combines advanced fundamental skill work, individual development within team concepts, mental strength & toughness, and conditioning. He is highly sought after for his expertise in teaching shooting with one of his students holding the National Girls H.S. Record For Career 3-Pointers, and several others winning the Illinois Girls H.S. 3-Point State Title.
